There's a cute little place near where I live called Pooky and Grumps which is an odd combo of Jewish-ish deli / cafe / also selling local Yorkshire treats kind of place.

The only thing is they are closed on Sunday--as is most everything in our neighborhood.

Who ever heard of a deli that's not open on a Sunday!  :-\\\\

Stacey, I wish I had known that you and Mindy were in Reading...I would have loved to have met up with you guys!  :)

I'm so sorry for that, it was so last minute.  We almost didn't come and then Mindy dragged me to the station.  So glad we did, I really liked Reading.  We will be back soon, and I'll let you know then!  We will have to go to Tootsies.

Absolutly.  Just say the word and me and Stacey will hop on a train!  Reading's not far from us at all.

I just drove to Reading last weekend to add my teenagers to your festival headache. ;)

Sounds good. Since you guys have kids and I am sure a more hectic schedule, whenever you have free Sat/Sun afternoon, let me know!

As for the Reading festival, I don't mind it. We drove near the site last Wednesday night (yes they came very early this year due to the rain/lack of places to pitch their tents). I just looked at all of the kids and said to my husband "oh to be young".  I am just happy its not a drunken football fest weekend!  :)

I don't know of any British people who are awake early enough for breakfast/brunch - unless they have to be at work.

Staying at the pub till closing, now that's different.

That's the beauty of brunch and why I love it...it's a late morning thing. Even British people can wake up by 11!
