PPA!  Peach Peelers Anonymous - weirdos! :P

The fuzzy skin is part of the sensual experience of eating a peach! :)

LOL! I couldn't agree more. My husband is the ONLY person I've ever seen peel a peach. Perhaps it's a U.K. thing.

Nah, I think it's just an individual thing.  Steve & his family & I'm sure lots of other Brits eat the peach skin.  And there are probably some Americans, somewhere, who don't like peach skins. :)

My cousin hates peach skin. He says it's like biting into a carpet!
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

I only peel peaches when they are moldy.  ;) I've got three in the fridge now. Moldy fruit is good for an impromptu crumble. Come to think of it there is a mango in my fridge too needing eating.

Did I mention that my husband not only peels peaches, but also cuts them into segments like something you'd see in a can of peaches before he eats them? He won't even bite into them once they're peeled--he has this ritual. He also does the same thing with apples.
