Good news on the home-front... :o

My wife got an email today saying that her passport has been approved for renewal and mailed back.  We should be getting it around the 15th (next wed.)

I've got all our stuff ready to mail off now.  All I'll have to do is add her passport and overnight it to them.  I've not yet applied online.  I've got my information ready to fill it out - but I thought it smart to wait until I could mail it out immediately.  Was I correct?

Quick recap of the things I'm sending: (let me know if I've missed anything)

*Bank Statements (for both)
*Pay Stubs (for both)
*Transcripts and degree copy from undergrad
*Offer letter from my school
*Passports!
*Savings account info
*Letter from my father showing financial support (along with statement)
*Student Loan papers
*Birth Cert. (for both)
*Marriage Cert. [i have to get another copy]
*Photo (for both)
... ...

Is that all?

Sure thing.  :)  If nothing else, it'll give me a chance to catch up--from what I've seen on MySpace, you're younger and in much better shape. Heh.

Thanks...but some of those pictures were before my wife's excellent European cookin' a year ago. :-X

congrats on getting your visa!! (sorry for being late, we're traveling across country before flying over to UK)

West everything you listed sounds great to me. I applied the same day I overnighted. and then it was about a 14 day (10 business day) turnaround.

I overnighted everything yesterday to the NY consulate...so I'm finally done with the stressful stuff.  We're out of our apartment (living with friends), packed up -  - -now we just have to get the visa (i hope i hope) and work out our jobs and we're set to go to Exeter.

I let you know when It comes through.

BTW - Did anyone have to submit biometric information?  When I completed the application it said I might have to.

Biometrics for UK visas are currently operating in some countries, but not the US at this time.  However, biometrics will be required for all UK visas in all countries (including the US!) starting early next year.
Now a triple citizen!

Student visa 9/06-->Int'l Grad Scheme 1/08-->FLR(M) 7/08-->ILR 6/10-->British citizenship 12/12

We got our Visas today!! :)

We got approved a few days ago - but we actually got the physical visa (after some delay with fedex) in our hands today.

And I got the emails from our new roommates in the house we're moving into.  A very international house.  2 Americans (us), A Swiss girl, A French girl, and an English boy.
My wife is actually Swiss/American dual citizen...but she's Swiss German and this new girl is Swiss French.

I couldn't be more happy.  Now I just have to pack the suitcases and wait until Sept. 22.

Exeter, here we come! :o
