Way to go Northern Hemisphere!
« on: October 07, 2007, 12:02:51 AM »
It was supposed to be a walk over for Australia and New Zealand, but it didn't quite work out that way!  Two of the most exciting rugby matches ever ended up with England playing France in the semi final instead of the two Southern hemisphere teams.  Guess Australia will have to wait a bit longer for their revenge for the 2003 World Cup final!

I have to say my mother-in-law and I watched that game, expecting Australia to win, and we were over the top when England pulled it off.

HURRAH TO ENGLAND!  My DF and I watched the game, and I'll have to admit that despite a few nail-biting moments, Johnny-boy's foot saved the day again.  England does, however, need to actually get in there and score some tries because Wilkie's boot is not as magic as it once was (or else he was having an off day).

My fiance was thrilled at England's win as well.  He is talking about next week's semifinal against France.  We were going to try to get tickets, but no chance we are paying five hundred quid plus hotel stay.  It would be great to see England defend their title live, but watching it from the comfort of our living room will have to do.
