Sutton, MA USDA Vet
« on: September 18, 2007, 02:14:32 AM »
Has anyone that has moved a pet used the USDA Vet out of the main office in Sutton to do the endorsement? Did you have to book an appointment for the endorsement?  Does the tick/tapeworm/flea treatment need to be endorsed too?  How early do you have to book an appointment?

If it works like the USDA vet here, you don't need an appointment.  You just go in during business hours which are based on US Government business hours.  At least that is what my vet said when I asked him about needing an appointment.

You could just call them.  I was planning on getting everything endorsed and working out my cat's flight so the person taking care of him can go on a weekday to get his pre-flight stuff done and head to the USDA vet on the way home.

That's my local, too. I called them once to ask a question, and they were really nice and helpful on the phone.

That's all I can offer, though. I'm about five months from D-Day.

No advice, but Sutton is near me. If you're coming out for the vet you should stop by to visit!  ;D

I had to schedule an appointment with the MD USDA vet in Annapolis. It took about 45 minutes for him to finish everything, but that's because there was something missing and he had to had the lab in Kansas fax it over. My tick/tapeworm form wasn't endorsed because I took my cats to have that done the day before we left. My USDA vet appoinment was earlier in the week.

Once I figure it out, I'll let you know!  Maybe we can do lunch!

Thanks, Bmore, that is helpful!
