Accupuncture on NHS?

is this available on the NHS?  i am having some carpal tunel like symptons, and my japanese customer told me that accupuncture is very effective in releving the symptons.  hmmm....

Accupuncture is great but when my husband asked the GP about getting it for a back problem he was told not on the NHS.  :-\\\\

How fcking stupid is the NHS and not allowing accupuncture.

I paid for accupuncture for a bad back 7 odd years ago. Haven't had any further back trouble (touch wood). If it comes back, I would pay again. But there are those that can't afford it so what do they do?

I think it sucks, yet they will pay, albeit it in certain areas, to circumcise some boys.

Which is more beneficial to society?

Acupuncture.  Good.  Awesome in fact. 

But go for holistic acupuncture (indirect) as opposed to direct.  There is nothing better!
