Great website for finding restaurants
« on: November 22, 2002, 02:12:13 PM »
http://www.toptable.co.uk/

My cousin in London is taking David & I out to eat before our flight leaves, and I went to this website to check it out. It's very, very cool - it gives you a cool interactive sort of panoramic picture of the restaurant's interior, maps, menus... just very cool. And not just for London, but all over the place. Just thought I'd share!

What a neat site. This'll be put to use.

Thanks!

And another site I've found, it's cool because you can search for restaurants near specific tube stations.

Square Meal is also a very good guide, and includes a huge number of restaurants, especially in London (see the tab in the top-left corner of their home page).  The site is run by the London "Square Meal" guide that has printed a guide to restaurants in central London for many years.

Just wanted to bump up this topic to the present day, as it's still very relevant (www.toptable.co.uk in particular).

Toptable is great for the value conscious (as there are many special offers to be had, that you can only take advantage of by booking on their website) as well as those who are looking for new ideas for restaurants to try, particularly if you are like DH and I and tend to get stuck in a rut.

I use this website frequently and have noticed that they keep getting new restaurants to join, so the options continue to grow and it's a very easy way to book a table (especially when you are at work in an open plan environment and don't want your colleagues knowing you are making a personal phone call, haha).

Happy dining!
