Good grief. I've yet to buy my bird for Thanksgiving, I'm not paying £100 for it!

Our organic delivery service is selling birds for Christmas. their smaller turkey was almost twice as much as a duck. So I'm having duck for Christmas.

Well there goes my Thanksgiving dinner of buttered turkey and fried eggs served with chilled mugs of root beer followed by donut pudding.

Well I CAN get oats and I CAN get marshmallows so .....

A Kelly Bronze will be over £100, but I seriously doubt you're going to have to pay that at your local supermarket. Tesco currently has extra large frozen (no fresh ones on the website yet) turkeys for £13. Fear not.

hi all.... thanks chary, i just seen the sign u know they have i think its the daily mail out side the newagents...... never bought a turkey nor eat them as im vegatarian;) if they are that high, would it be cause of the recent out break of birdflu... im so sad to hear that all those turkeys and ducks had to be slaughtered..... anyways, bottom line, thank god for tesco

has SHOT up to 96p and £1.02....I can't believe it!!!

I had this same observation about the price of petrol this evening! The station didn't have decimals so the 102p looked way more menacing than £1.02

The only thing I noticed was that the price of the supermarket brand yogurt went up from 89p to 118p from one week to the next.

But they have frozen turkey crowns on sale for £10 or less at the moment (Sommerfields).  I  haven't decided whether to buy one or not.

I just bought my turkey from the market. It was £12 and now it's £6.

I thought it was fabulous but while talking it away from the market I thought "hmmm, did I actually just buy discount meat? Is this contaminated".

What time does the market close? A lot of them close in the early afternoon so they were just trying to clear their stock. I see this a fair amount at farmers markets.

I just looked at my Tesco receipt and notice the Tesco Greek style yogurt which used to be something like 70p is now 99p!!
