Mine is from being a Brit, but having been in Ireland for the last 4 years. The things I've missed are:

- Central heating
- Carpets
- Frequent public transport
- The tube
- Charity shops (they have them here, but somehow they're not the same)
- Chippies!
- Curry!
- Lots of shops being within walking distance
- London. You can take the girl out of London, but you can't take London out of the girl.  ;)
- A mixture of accents and faces. It's not very multicultural where I live now, and I miss that.

Katgold has not posted since 2003 so you are probably 20 years too late for advice to her.  You do realize that this thread has no posts for over 3 years?

Don't worry. It's not a big deal.   :)
