The US doesn't advertise that they do dual citizenship, but they certainly do it for people.  They can't take away their citizenship in the UK unless the applicant renounces it.  I think that is the right word for it.

Another odd thing - unless I have misread - as that they seem to equate a "family formation" case with a non-Brit who moves to the UK (presumably for work, education asylum) and then brings his non-Brit family along with him.

There doesn't seem to be any recognistion of the fact that a British citizen could marry a non-Brit, who would then join the British citizen in the UK. (Or conversely, that they could both decide to up and leave the UK and move to the non-British spouse's country, particularly if the immigration process is easier or less expensive that way.)
