www.prospect.ac.uk is the main site I've used - Graduate Prospects and Career Information.

You can search for job types and postgraduate degree opportunities. Each job/career has information regarding qualifications needed, nature of the job, typical salaries, case studies of people who work in that area, career opportunities for the future (i.e. promotions, predicted salary after so many years in the job) etc.

It's a pretty good site :).

Prospects is a good site, I agree!

I did a lot of research on this for my internship earlier this year- you can see the results here:

I wrote almost all of these fact sheets for working in UK regions- the list includes web resources to find graduate jobs in each region.  Hope this helps!

Yeah, DH uses jobs.ac.uk and also the New Scientist site.
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

I look on Nature Jobs and Science Careers sites  and jobs.ac.uk is a good site.

DH just hired a technician and a post doc and he got the most action out of the jobs.ac.uk site.
