LOVED IT!

I was not really expecting much, but that is because I had not heard much about it.

It was lovely though and made me weep a bit :D

My In-Laws were up in Scotland on Holiday last year and they were filming in the Caravan Park they were staying on.  They were allowed to eat at Craft Services, and saw Michelle Pfeiffer, but never actually met any of the cast.

If anyone else has seen the movie, we missed the very start, so would be great to hear about it.

I thought it was quite sweet and my husband liked it as well.

How much of the beginning did you miss? Did you see the Dad as a young man crossing the wall and meeting the woman at the carnival?

We got there when Tristan was working in the store serving Victoria. (Was that her name?)

Did we miss a lot?

I don't want to ruin anything for anyone, so if you want to PM me that would be great.

Thank you :D

Stacey, I sent you a PM.

We really liked it! Really cute and imaginative story. I did think that a couple bits were a bit scary for little kids...like the scene with the wolves. But a great family movie overall!

*edit to not spoil it for others*

Thank you!  Made the movie even better knowing how it started ;D

Our theater was full of kids (Half-term)  I looked at the kids next to me at scary bits and they were covering their eyes.  I'm thinking 8 and up for this one.  ;)

It's the fairytale story about the witch who is trying to find the fallen star to make her younger.

We saw it for our anniversary and loved it. Even Jon said he liked it more than he thought he would.

Robert de Niro, what a hoot!

I've told Jon this is one movie I want in my home collection.

Grr.  I missed this when it was playing here in town.  I love Neil Gaiman, and wanted to see it SO badly! :(

Sorry, it comes out soon on video though, I looked at Amazon.

When I was telling my parents about it they said they had never heard of it.  Later that day my dad remembered that oh yeah, they had seen it months ago and loved it.

We watched it New Years eve with the kids. I didn't think I would like it but ended up really enjoying it. I just can't get over Robert DeNiro's camp part! That was so wrong!!!
