How Much?!

I'd be interested in feedback from UK-Yankee folks as to whether this amount sounds reasonable.

i spend about £60 - £70 a week for 2 people + 1 dog.
Sometimes that includes alcohol.

I spend £15-20 most weeks, but I am single, pet free and a vegetarian.

Probably closer to £40-50.

I spend about £40-£50 per week for two people.... excluding alcohol  Some stores are just less expensive than others though.  We get mostly everything from morrisons and then go to the local farmshop for our meats (I've seen far too many Jamie Oliver & Hughs Chicken Run lately!!)  The farmers shop turns out to be the same price or cheaper than the supermarket in my area!

Yes, but you are a good cook! I am an apathetic one and prob eat stuff you would not consider touching with a ten foot pole! 

I spend about 70.00 per week for two people at the store, but that includes other stuff like cleaning supplies/kitchen stuff/bathroom and toiletries. 

I really only have access to one store, so I can't shop around. 

I could spend less if I were to really study the prices and buy stuff when on sale, but we have a small kitchen with no room for storage or a big freezer.  Also, since we have no real debts at this point, I'd rather spend my time doing other stuff.
