Podiatry in UK?
« on: January 19, 2008, 11:34:17 PM »
Hi,

Has anyone seen a podiatrist in the UK? I have a very serious pronation to my ankles due to my flat feet. What is the wait like? Is it covered in the NHS?

The wait for any type of specialist would depend on what part of the country you live in.
What is and isn't covered by the NHS would depend on what particular type of treatment you are looking for.

You should speak to your GP about this.

My friend uses a podiatrist, so there are definately podiatrists in the UK.  He has to go private however, his particular problem wasn't covered by the NHS.  He can generally get an appointment the same week if need be.
