Pruhealth may cover pre-existing conditions
« on: February 26, 2008, 05:45:38 PM »
Has anyone got medical insurance through Pruhealth? I just looked into this today and will be getting some info in the mail. The man I spoke to on the phone says you have the option of taking "moratorium underwriting," which means that after two years, your pre-existing conditions are covered *even if* you have had symptoms or seen a doctor for the condition in those two years. It would not cover chronic conditions like arthritis (and there's not really anything much docs can do about that anyway), which I have, but if at some point I need another knee surgery, it would cover that (he said).

Has anyone gotten a moratorium plan with Pruhealth? What do you think of it?
