My name's Steve and I play middle linebacker for the Reading Renegades American football team. I'm also on the management team for the club.
I wanted to let you all know that we're holding a Superbowl Party in at the Walkabout Inn in central Reading on the third of February and invite anyone who wants to come along.
It should be a big event and we're expecting 200-300 people to attend. As well as the game shown on a giant screen and many smaller TVs around the pub there will be special drinks offers, a raffle, a predict the score competition, a late bar (until the end of the game) and a Madden competition.
The party starts at 9pm, with the game itself kicking off just after 11pm. Tickets are £5.00 each, and can bought on the door (provided we haven't filled the place to capacity!). All profits will be going directly to Reading's two American football teams to support their development.
The British American football scene is very vibrant with successful and expanding leagues at both senior and University level.
