Visiting U.S. with UK spouse.
« on: February 10, 2008, 12:19:03 PM »
My husband really wanted me to ask this so here goes:

We're going to Vegas in June and initially we're planning on a three week stay. However, if the circumstances cooperate, we might want to stay for as many as six. The tickets will be booked for the three weeks, but they'll be changeable. My husband is really paranoid about U.S. immigration and he thinks that if we overstay the original three weeks, as will be declared to immigration, he'll be in violation of his visa waiver and will get bounced next time he tries to enter.

He has been hassled (he thinks) by immigration before, while trying to enter. Never pulled aside for additional questioning or anything like that, and never in Vegas, just in NY but he thinks the DHS is out to get him.

So finally(!!!) here's the question: if we change plans mid-visit and decide to leave later and we don't stay over 90 days, will we have issues on exit or later on, while attempting to re-enter?
And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say
"Thank you for being a friend!"

Won't be an issue providing you don't overstay the 90 days

You must be joking. If I'm away from a computer for more than 24 hours, I get the shakes, go into withdrawal and start breaking things.

Laptop + hotel wireless. You won't be rid of me that easy! *evil laugh*

LOL me too. I'm very much looking forward to my 'Hillbilly Holiday' but worried they won't have WiFi at the cabin up in the mountains. If not I may have to cancel the whole thing and check into a Ramada!  ;D

Or sneak away somewhere to get your fix.

I'm sorry, but I just got this mental image of you hunched over the keyboard, feverishly typing, while glancing furtively over your shoulder and it really made me giggle.
