I have to confess I kind of like them when they are a tad stale, too. They just go a bit crunchy/chewy don't they? The flavor doesn't really change... at least that's how I like them!

I live in the city next to the Peep factory, a few years ago they did a whole Easter scene with Peeps and Jesus entering Jerusalem on Palm Sunday.  It was great.
