sore back
« on: March 22, 2008, 07:41:46 PM »
This is a long-shot question, but I figured I'd ask here and talk to my doctor on Monday.

I woke up this morning with a terribly sore back. It felt like a muscle spasm just under my left shoulder. I can't think of anything I might have done yesterday to cause that.

Now the aching is all over my back and I'm wondering if it's some sort of virus? By the way, I've also got a cold.

Does this sound like anything anyone's ever had before?

Have you been coughing?  You may have pulled a muscle.  If not, you may have slept on it oddly...or you it may just be from dehydration.  I get achy muscles all the time when I get a cold due to a variety of reasons.

Might be a trapped nerve?  I get them sometimes in my back and they can be quite painful.

Thanks, all.

My mother actually called me that night complaining of an achy back, too, and she'd been with my kids a few days before.

We're putting it down to some sort of nasty kid bug. I'm still sore but it's getting better.
