How Long Did it Take?

How long did it take for your spouse to get their US visa from the point of applying to actually receiving it?  I'm especially curious for those who did this recently, as things have slowed down considerably in the past few years.

I think I've heard it's about 4-6 months now if you use DCF. Check Dive Into America as they deal with this all the time!

if you hire an immigration lawyer it's MUCH faster. DH's company paid for one and we had the visa in just 3.5months

We sent off stuff August 31, 2006 and got Dave's Visa the week before Christmas.

I thought i was a 'recent' one, until I just realized this was WELL over a year ago. Holy cripes.

We posted the application on March 28th 2007 and had visa in hand on August 10th 2007.  The process wen't pretty quickly and smoothly.
