Do all states allow foreign weddings?
« on: April 28, 2008, 11:55:19 PM »
Does anyone know if there are any states in the US that would not allow me and my English fiance to get married? (because he's not American, and I am)

Right now we're thinking of getting married in Vermont.

Thanks for any info.

Google "states marriage residency requirements" and that should give you the information on who and isn't allowed to marry. I believe none outright forbid it, but some require a certain length of residence before issuing a license.
And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say
"Thank you for being a friend!"

Awesome, first cousins can get married in Vermont

Seriously, Vermont is pretty lax about almost everything, so I wouldn't think you'd have an issue
I've never gotten food on my underpants!
Work permit (2007) to British Citizen (2014)
You're stuck with me!
