Dh said he's tired of hearing me complain about the length of time it takes to dry clothes here, so he wants to get a washer/dryer combo. We truly do not have enough space for separate machines in the house we will be in, its an extremely small 2 bed house (well, to me it's extremely small, small living room with no separate area for dining, a kitchen that fits about 3 cupboards, and no, I am not joking, it has a mini fridge and oven
) no room in the hallway, no mains in the closet etc...trust me I've tried many, many ways to finagle the space, but it will be difficult enough as this house is really only meant for a childless couple at a stretch and we will have 2 kids in it.
Anyway, I've been looking at a hotpoint or a candy. I've read that the hotpoint we were looking at (the wd640) is getting bad reviews for drying time. I've heard others have been pretty happy with their Candy machines, just wondering if anyone has any experience with either of these brands, or has another one they could recommend? We're looking to spend about £300, I know that's probably not a lot but money isn't exactly easy to come by.
I think I will mostly use this as backup, ie I need something washed/dried faster than the usual wash/line dry will provide, or if it's raining etc (if last summer was anything to go by, that will be every day heh).
I realize a condenser dryer will never dry things as quickly as a vented dryer, so I know it will take awhile...but I managed to get used to washing taking forever here as well. I'd just like to buy something that isn't going to break down constantly, or be difficult to use.
