decided to go to...
« on: June 17, 2008, 08:22:51 PM »
egypt! we got a great deal, 3 travellers for £960 for 5 weeks no hotel, but its ok i know what to do, we will rent a one bedroom flat for 150£ for the whole time, that is about 1500 egyptian LE(sterlings). what u do is go to an estate agent, people let their flats out, so its cheaper and more comfy then a hotel! we will stay with my inlaws for a few days though.... anyways, thank god the dilema is over!

Sounds great! Hope you have fun.

My husband was commissioned to take photos in Cairo and I went along with him for a few weeks. It was quite an experience!  ;D

ahh!!  i used to smoke sheesha so much in uni :)  (i'm lebanese and all my friends where egyptian or moroccan or something haha)  and the food!  dear god, moving to Japan was the WORST mistake for that!  though I do love Japanese food, I need my foul and hummus and kebab every now and then!  it is getting much better food wise and it made me learn to cook more haha  Why were you there for 3 years?  Sorry if I am too nosey-feel free to ignore! ;)

that is cool to work in japan! im telling ya anyone that has been to cairo can verify this, to live there is so hard, its crowded, poluted, etc. but there is so much history! i dont think i could live there again, and i know after a week of some fine egyptian food, and some dierreha tabs, i will be done with it. it will be so hot there, and i will be ready to come back home! LOL
