That really is sick.  I'm pretty sure a true joy division fan wouldn't be to blame, or at least I would hope not.

This reminds me of someone else, whose name has completely escaped me (Jim Morrison?), whose headstone was stolen so many times the family finally stopped replacing it.

I understand wanting to visit a grave to pay respects, but stealing a headstone is absolutely disrespectful.

I can't imagine what they'd do with it either. It's not like they could flog it on ebay!

It'll probably be the centerpiece of their Ian Curtis altar in their parents' basement.

It has just been pointed out to me that it was not his headstone but a memorial kerbstone. Still, it was in the cemetary.
