British music is the best :)

British:

Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, David Bowie, Peter Gabriel, Pink Floyd, Queen, UNKLE, Radiohead, The Stone Roses, Ian Brown, Massive Attack, The Chemical Brothers, Blur, Public Image Ltd, Muse, Bloc Party, Kasabian. Oh, and of course The Beatles.

American:

Kings of Leon, Foo Fighters, Tenacious D, old Red Hot Chili Peppers (they've wussed out in recent years), Interpol, umm... hmm... yep- I like way more British artists.

My favorite newer band to come along in years is Australian, though! Wolfmother. :)

What I can't stand are all the bland "indie" bands in the UK who all sound exactly the same: Keane, Snow Patrol, The Kooks, etc. I've stopped listening to the radio because of them.

old Red Hot Chili Peppers (they've wussed out in recent years),

So true!

Best band of all time - The Stone Roses (English)
Second best - The Manic Street Preachers (Welsh)

I am trying to think of a US band who are up there with those two, and I am struggling.  Maybe old G n' R, before Axl went nuts and started living in a bubble....

I didn't think such a time existed...
Another shameless promotion for www.mclevey.com, the best place on the internet to buy art.

I have 2 big boxes of CDs... one box is labelled Scots, Scouse and Scott (Walker).  The other is 'everything else'.

That pretty much says it all!  ;)
