Reintroducing myself
« on: May 09, 2004, 03:13:18 AM »
Been away from the site so long I had to reregister because I forgot everything I'd entered. You all were so wonderful to me before I've been wanting to come back to the site but had no time.

I was interviewing for a position in London but they were way below on the money offer. So I stepped back here in Philadelphia to rethink everything. In the meantime the man I was working for had a heart attack and 2 strokes so I have had to take over running our company - he has made me a partner. My darling ex husband died of heart disease, one of my best friends had a heart attack & another is recovering from a blood clot in the brain. In addition I have fallen in love with a Brit who is crazy.  I am an older professional woman with 2 grown children and 3 grandchildren 18, 5 & 3.

With all of the above I am treasuing my good health and living in the moment.  How's that for a mini-bio? Happy to finally have the time come back to the site. Still have not given up hopes of finally living in UK!!!

Hi Maryanne! I wondered what happened. Thanks for checking back in...great to hear from you!
Married to Graham, we run our own open-source computer training company in beautiful Wiltshire out of our 1814 Georgian Regency home (a former lodging house and once featured in Antiques Roadshow)

Hi Lisa,

Great to be back! Been waaayy too busy.  Way up in the air about future. I was over in December and worked out that I would lose $40K per year standard of living by moving at the offer I was presented with soooo.....  :-[

Looking forward to posts.

welcome back Maryanne... you do seem to have a lot on your plate...but know that we are all still here to divert your mind and stresses in other areas...
