A good cheap place to eat in Newark Nottinghamshire UK
« on: July 28, 2008, 09:40:07 AM »
I have been going to a place called Lord Ted in between Newark and Farndon on Farndon road.
If you are ever near there it would be wise to look it up because all meals are always buy the first and get the second free.
Food is pretty good as well.
*Yank or Yankee is one of the lesser derogatory slang terms for any American, whether from New England or not.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yankee
*The Oxford English Dictionary states that one of the earliest theories on the word derivation is from the Cherokee word "eankke" for coward as applied to the residents of New England.

You don't hear me calling you a bloody brit, so don't call me a yank!
