Concert & Travel Home or Stay??
« on: August 17, 2008, 10:27:12 PM »
We are going to a concert at the end of this month at The Grand Hall Olympia on Sat 30th Aug.

I have a fear of driving through London..but I think I can make it to Richmond  :-\\\\

My question is....My concert is going to run pretty late - about 2am finish.  Is there a tube that will get me back to Richmond after this time?  or would it be wiser for us to get a cheap hotel.  I think Easyhotels are about £50 at Earls Court.

What would you guys do??

The tube will have stopped running by then but there should be a nightbus you can catch.

My neighbourhood!  The N10 from Hammersmith will get you to Richmond, and it's an easy and safe walk from Olympia.

Where do you pick the nightbus up from? are they outside the tube entrances ?

here's a link to the TFL website with the N10 bus. you can do another research with more specific details.  i find it helpful sometimes to print out the maps.

night buses are always entertaining...people usually talk to each other...unlike other times of the day. hmmm...maybe because they've had a bit to drink.

A black cab from Olympia would be less than the hotel!  By I agree...N10 rocks!

Working out the cost of my petrol and parking for the evening is probably going to cost the same as train journey there and a hotel..so I am going to book the cheap EasyHotel - good old Stalios! and make a weekend of it  :)

Thank for the advice tho ladies - I will keep it in mind for another time  :)
