my children were born in Scotland and have never lived in the US, but i'd do just about anything right now for some decent boxed cake mixes that are NOT just chocolate or yellow and some boxes of Jell-O instant pud.

Little Debbies must be a regional thing... i dont think we had this in California.

They have little debbies here...you can get them for like $0.25 or buy a box at almost all stores and even vending machines
The oatmeal creme cookies sandwich thingies...........
Just had one Wednesday...so yummie but they seem smaller now apposed to when I was a kid.

I think their popularity is probably a regional thing, I don't think in (downstate) NY they were something we ate, I know I saw them in Western NY when I was in college. I think they are gross, personally. I would rather eat fresh cake, I don't like that sort of thing.

Did you have Tasty Kakes in downstate NY, being so near Pennsylvania?   Tasty Kakes are also yummy!

Definitely, but for me, its a nostalgia thing, not a taste thing...

Peanut Butter Kandy Kakes are the best.  Way better than Little Debbies.

I'm from California too, and was wondering the same thing!

Thanks, all! By mac and cheese, I'm guessing you mean the Kraft kind? I've seen regular mac and cheese at Marks & Spencer.

Butterfingers, grilled cheese sandwiches from the diner and chocolate pudding.

I personally miss Little Debbies oatmeal cream pies, so trashy and good!

We've had Little Debbie's in my area for about 20 years.  Tasty and quite cheap.  But Hostess Twinkies, Cupcakes & Ding Dongs have been around forever, they're the favourite.  Yes, it must be a regional thing.

We had them all: Hostess, Little Debbie AND TastyCake. For some reason I loved the butterscotch crimpets (I think that's what they were called!).
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

twizzlers (and nibs, pull and peels)
hershey's cookies 'n creme
girl scout cookies
reese's peanut butter cups (they can find them here)
Kraft Macaroni and cheese
Chef Boyardee mini ravioli (or is this only in Canada, I forget)
Skippy Peanut butter (can get here)
Oreos (can now get them here)
Goldfish crackers

Note on Little Debbies, I went into a Walmart yesterday here on Long Island (Its no Target really) and I saw a big display of Little Debbies, they aren't that regional, however, I have never had them...so maybe its just me.
