charging an iPod away from home
« on: August 31, 2008, 10:36:18 PM »
What's the best way to charge your iPod if you don't have your computer with you?
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

You'll need a power supply if you don't have access to a computer.  I have one that's like a small white rectangular box that can be plugged into the wall and the iPod plugs into it.

I *love* the iGo products.  I have US version here and will buy the UK version once we get over there.  You have one charger which has interchangeable tips.  I have a tip for my Cell Phone/PSP/Nintendo DS & iPod.  Then you only have to carry one charger and just change the tips to what you want to charge.  You can also get a 'splitter' so that you can charge two things at once.

The good news for me is that the tips are universal on the product so I will only need to buy the charge itself once on the UK.
