Early August, but as chubby as I feel it may very well be at the end of July.  ;) lol   I think there must be something in the water because it seems like everyone I know is either pregnant or expecting.

Hi Lunar,

I replied to your other posting about how easy your experience was at your Visa appointment!  It's such a relief to hear considering I did the same thing, we got married in the UK first, having the big do in 2 1/2 weeks.  I hope I have it as easy!

hiya :) i just posted you back on the other question...
i was away from email all weekend :) -  as long as you bring all the appropiate paperwork, you should have no problem (of course, assuming that your case is cut and dry) :)
i hope your nerves calm a bit before your trip to NY :)

good luck again!!

Sorry if someone has mentioned this already (just skimming through the replies...)

You can't marry on a tourist visit and vary status to spouse from within the UK.  It's fine to marry as a visitor, but you have to return to the US for a marriage settlement visa.  The rules were tightened up as of 1st April 2003 to only allow those with a visa for more than 6 months or a fiancĂ© visa to vary status in the UK.

Thanks Jemima, I'll be going to get my marriage visa next Thursday, I married on a visitor's visa in January, but will be going to NY for the Visa.  I'll let you all know how it goes!!!
