Claiming Benefits while on ILR?
« on: September 15, 2008, 06:36:13 PM »
Hello To anyone that can help me with this question...I was just wondering if while on ILR if you were allowed to claim any benefits? Does it go against you for claiming while trying to get citizenship? It doesn't say No recourse to public funds on my ILR Visa so I was just wondering if you could claim anything. Thanks for your help and time.

I'm pretty sure you can apply for most (if not all?) benefits with a ILR.

Claiming benefits is no bar to eligibility for citizenship.
