Jittery spouse and co-applicant in Blighty
« on: September 17, 2008, 07:09:13 AM »
Hi there, my wife is getting ready to send in her paper work in for her visa.  She filled out the on-line form, and I've pulled all the paperwork together to support the information on the form.  She lives in the Georgia.  In our effort to be careful and make sure the application is not thrown out or paper work returned to us we've fallen behind on our planned scheduled send off date by two weeks. I'll be UPS'ing all the necessary supporting paperwork to her from London in a few hours...... I know that's cutting it really close for a planned departure date of November 4th.

The three questions I have are:
As my better half lives in Georgia, do we send the application to the BE in DC or NY for her Visa application prior to getting her biometrics? Secondly, are there any courier services anyone out there is aware of?
What successful turnaround time have any of you experienced for those who have successfully applied for and been granted the visa.

An eager and nervous spouse and father waiting to reunite his family in London

You send the docs off after biometrics, and when she completes the on-line form it tells where where to send everything.

Georgia comes under NY. You can't send visa applications to Boston.

Thanks very much Jules and Vicky, I feel so much more at ease.  I sent the supporting documents off to Georgia this afternoon.
