Phone Call from LA Consulate!

I received a phone call from the LA British Consulate today asking my departure date YAY!!!

I told them October 24th... heh then DF said 'now they will put you further back in the pile cause it's ages away!" hehe what a ray of sunshine he is.

I asked if it had been approved and she said not yet but everything looked in order. I dunno when I am gonna get it but hopefully soon so I can get on with planning what I am going to do!

I was so happy I was shaking!

She also said they were working overtime because there was a huge amount of visa apps to go through etc and they were trying to get it done in a timely manner

ooohh sounds promising, lets hope you get taht all important email soon.

Hooray!  I had a call today as well, asking for my departure date.  Sounds like things are moving forward.  Where are you moving to, Calamity Jane?

Sutton-in-Ashfield, it's in Nottinghamshire, not to far from the city. It's a lovely place =)

Oh yay, what good news! 

It's cool they're working overtime so our waiting time isn't ridiculous.  Though I know there are people on here still waiting

whats the phone no. appeared on the caller id??, my house phone is messed up we got a lot of telemarketer calling my house no.  and sometimes we dont pick it up. im afraid i miss the call or something. i need to get a phone with answering machine.

it was listed as unknown on caller ID, if you don't have voice mail I would suggest braving the telemarketers... sorry I don't have a number to give ya =(

LOL my landline at home has a message like that but it's more "If you are from the LA consulate please call my cell number listed in the application!

I am in a similar situation to you Raff, all we get on the landline is calls from telemarketers, ALL THE TIME! to be honest the only tim I answer it usually is when I am in the mood to tell someone off... heh Telling secrets on my self... I have answered it faithfully when I am home though in fear I would miss a call.
