Everything sent off for fiance visa now what???

So I sent my appliciation and supporting paperwork yesterday (by certified mail).  And  am kicking myself now because I didn't find this forum till today, I wish I would have.  Anyway, so now I just wait?  This is horrible!! Any advice? I'm thinking of taking up smoking! So it looks like most people get the answers within the month, is that normal?  And what are the chances that a fiance visa to the UK is denied? O MAN

I sent DF the list of documents I'll need from him today, and got the seismic reaction I expected. About a seven on the Richter scale of British High Dudgeon.

Advice?? Peel yourself away from the computer...and don't freak out on day 20 or 21 if you don't have a confirmation e-mail from the consulate.

How straightforward do you feel your application is?

my application is very straight forward.  There is so much paperwork in there! I gave them so much eveidence that I'm not sure they will even look at all of it.  The only thing that freaks me out is that I'm still waiting for my final divorce decree and I had some traffic tickets in the past. But really? I think I'm being parnoid, as usual..

It sounds like you'll be fine.      I worked myself into a real knot of nerves over my application but it worked out so much simpler and easier than I imagined.  I'm sure it will for you too.  Best of luck to you!

As long as you don't lose *hair* over it!  I was so stressed during the whole process my hair was coming out in what seemed to be clumps...
