How to watch Lost season 5

In anticipation of Season 5....

Will Lost be broadcast on any station other than Sky1? 

Is it available on-line in the UK? 

I've got Freeview and BT broadband (internet only so far as I know) but I very much want to be as up-to-date as possible when the new season commences.

Sky 1 is the only station that has the rights to broadcast Lost at the moment. It used to be shown on E4 and Channel 4, but then Sky bought the rights from season 3 onwards.

It was very annoying because we had Sky 1 with the Telewest cable company and then Telewest got taken over by Virgin Media in March 2007 and Virgin got rid of Sky 1 with our package... halfway through season 3 of Lost!!

Luckily I was in the US for season 4 and Virgin Media thankfully re-instated our Sky 1 channel last month .

I'd invite you over to watch if you lived closer 

Unfortunately you won't be able to watch episodes online on abc.com because you are not in the US (I've been trying to figure out a way to do this for the last 4 months!) and in order to watch them on the Sky 1 website, I think you have to subscribe to the Sky 1 channel in the first place .

You may have to wait until they are released on DVD, or see if someone can record them for you... actually since we are both in Bristol, I might see if my parents can record it and then you could borrow the tape (I've moved out now and although I have Sky at the moment, I'm moving flats soon and will only have Freeview from December 21st, so won't be able to watch it either )

First, yay for you getting a place!  What part of town are you in?

I've seen (annoying) ads for BT plus(?) / BT sky - where the guy says "I'd pay to watch that anyday". 

Since I've got BT broadband and depending on how much it costs to set up, I might go that route - otherwise thanks for the taping suggestion!!

I've just ordered season 4 from Amazon (Happy Christmas to me) - and am watching 3 in anticipation.  Let the Lost frenzy begin

You could always try YouTube. But you have to be quick because the episodes are usually pulled down by the admin within 24 - 48 hours of airing in the US....that is how I watch all my favorite US shows and I am not about to shell out for Sky/BT/Virgin when I have freeview.

You could try downloading it on a Bittorrent, we have a little box that plays videos from our laptop to our telly and the quality is pretty good.  Or ask a friend to tape it for you.

Season 5 doesn't start until 21 Jan - so you've got time to catch up before the whole new season of awesomeness starts.  I really liked Season 4!  A lot of endings that make you go "WHAT? OMG"

 I too loved season 4, it was outstanding! I'm a total LOST freak; I worship this show. I'm so glad Virgin Media brought back Sky 1 and I can see season 5 after all -- when I moved over here, believe it or not my concerns about whether or not I'd get to continue watching Lost was one of my biggest issues!

Or you could just buy a relative of yours a slingbox and ask them to set it up for you and watch it for free.

I just wish they'd get found - oh they were, and it continues!

I enjoyed first 2 series but feel they've been dragging it on since then, I may give series 5 a miss as I've found it more of a chore keeping up, also I don't think DW watched it.
