I fear that some confusion is arising here.

There are other rules, but the important one here is the following test ..... was the applicant physically in the UK, and legally here, exactly 3 years before UKBA will receive the Naturalisation application? If yes, then that test is passed. If no, the application will fail! UKBA has no discretion about this particular test.

So sweetpeach as you were physically in the UK for the whole of October 2005, and no doubt here legally, it follows that you can make an application for Naturalisation any time in the month of October 2008.
