Panic!! Bank Statements!
« on: October 09, 2008, 12:07:58 AM »
Hey Everyone!  This forum is awsome!

I did the online Visa app yesterday but now I'm worried because I don't have the money in my account for three months from yesterday.  I will have it by sometime next week.  Does this matter? I haven't sent them everything or had my biometrics taken yet.   ???

thanks!

What type of visa are you applying for?

The Tier 1 post student Visa.  It says you need 2800 pounds for 3 months.

It matters.  But I don't understand the strategy of filing for T1 when you couldn't clear the maintenance hurdle.  Is there a timing constraint?

I knew I would have the money this week and I have a plane ticket for the 29th.  Stupid I know, but I bought it before finding this forum.

If you haven't dipped below the minimum for the 3 months of the reporting period and your statements are within the 7 day window, then they would have to accept it as a within the rules application.

Flying on the 29th is playing close to the knuckle but perhaps you'll luck out.

Thank you!!!!

I'm going to apply with a courier and keep my fingers tightly crossed.  The $165 is pretty pricey but it beats the airline change fee!

Hang on....if you don't have the money now then you would have dipped below the threshold withint he three months.  Then it's $1200 you are wasting!

But I have already done the online app.  I just haven't done biometrics or sent them everything.  I assumed the application date would be when they received everything.  :-\\\\

Yes,  you cannot send the papers off until your bank account meets the financial requirement.
