Cat back to US
« on: October 24, 2008, 09:43:26 AM »
There has been an extremely unfortunate turn of events and I am moving back to the states with my cat.  I am gutted to hear there is more costs than i had thought.  I called continental export desk at Heathrow and am told I cannot just book a spot in cargo for my pet like I did coming here.  I have to go through  an animal transportation method.  Please can anybody tell me what they know asap bc I plan on Leaving the UK asap.

:(

Hmm, I thought you could book a spot in cargo, I am surprised they told you that. We used Airpets at Heathrow to get our 2 cats back to Atlanta and it was about 800GBP for both for everything.

Good luck!

Virgin doesn't require a pet service at all. You just book a spot and pay on the day. I think for our 3 it's a bit over £500.
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon
