Please explain UK overdraft to me. I'm freaking out.

Just make sure that when you apply for the visa that the account is in the black at that time.  I was told by the person at UKBA handling our case that it didn't matter if the overdraft happend  the day before but she needed to see money in there or wouldn't be able to process my application.  It was a different visa though....that was jsut my experience GOOD LUCk!!

If this was true we'd never have been approved.  Both for spousal and ILR   

Not that I recommend being in your overdraft a lot, i've just never made enough to quite get out of mine since I was at uni.  I have very little left over after expenses at the end of the month and what I do have goes to pay off credit cards etc.  The overdraft interest is tiny so i'd rather pay off my high interest debts first.  Maybe one day i'll get out of it.. 

Jeez my person must have been kind of a stickler then...his last statement showed being a little in the red and she told me she couldn't issue a visa with it showing that so we quickly transfered some funds into that specific account and printed a statement online showing that transaction and she was fine with it. From what she told me she wasn't going to approve my visa without that little push from us.  Thank goodnes!!

No, not a stickler, just a little stupid, and obviously didn't really know how the system works.  Perhaps new.
