More Government Rhetoric
« on: December 12, 2008, 10:57:15 AM »
Talk about alarmist: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7778688.stm

What makes her RH Mrs. Smith think that cholera will be the reason people try to get out of Zimbabwe?  They have been trying to leave for years, but to other African countries.  I highly doubt we in the UK would see an influx of them, but it is a great way to capatalise on the public's fear of black immigrants.

Jacqui is right, get them in to NHS hospitals, and they face the risk of Cholera with Superbug complications.   ::)

I feel ill myself. I can't believe I am finding myself wishing that the Tories would win already so she'll finally be kicked to the curb. What a hateful fear monger she is.

Now that is immigration control... Why didn't we think of that before!?!?!?  Combine the immigrant detention centres with NHS hospitals.

Do you really think the Tories are any better for immigration? They want a straight cap and have accused the government of not being tough enough!

Maybe you're right. But she really is demented.

I'm not really sure why anyone would want to leave Zimbabwe anyway. The Most Honorable Magnificent Doctor of Earthly and Heavenly Medicine Mugabe has cured both cholera and AIDS. We should all be looking to immigrate there.

Unless of course we are white farmers...

DH and I keep lists of people that we would like to "twat with a snooker cue."  Jacqui Smith is at the head of my list. ;D

You know, I'm starting to play out little fantasies in my head in which Jacqui Smith and Phil Woolas get brought up on hate speech legislation.  Honestly.  People are dying on a massive scale half a world away and this should be used to whip up fear of immigrants?!
