Intern irony
« on: December 10, 2008, 05:10:35 PM »
Interns at banks are back in the picture.  First they were knocked out of the PBS altogether, and now they are back in.  Subject to a gazillion restrictions and prerequisites of course.

Considering that 10's of thousands in banks are having pink slip parties, it's irony that approaches the cruelest sort of mockery.

Um...  I'm like 'what interns'?   ::)

Well overseas interns are cheaper then tenured employees...  :-\\\\

That is about as useful as a 2.5% reduction in VAT...

Hey, that 2.5% VAT reduction saved me well over £100 on some new furniture!  Too bad it just means I'll be paying more VAT in the long-term to make up for the government's loss right now.

Why were interns not used in banks?

Don't be silly Larissa. I'm sure the government is planning to curtail its spending to compensate.

*falls on floor, laughing.*
And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say
"Thank you for being a friend!"
