How to put threads/boards on ignore

I can't figure it out!  People have talked about being able to do it, but I've been looking for a while...

Anyone want to fill me in?

Go to Profile.  On the left side it should say Modify Profile and underneath it should say Ignore Board Preferences. Click on that and it'll take you to a list of boards.  Click the ones you want to ignore, then save.  That should work.
