Easter Eggs
« on: February 13, 2009, 12:51:47 AM »
I know when I came over near Easter in 2004 there was a massive selection on kiddi program Easter Eggs.  So far I've not really seen anything like this (there were Boobahs, Teletubbies etc at that time).  Now all I've seen really are Cadbury's, After Eight, Nestle, Thorntons etc.  The only character ones I've really seen are the Winnie the Pooh ones at Costco.   :-\\\\  Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough.

I must admit I did see one I was tempted to buy DH, but he would've seen it if I bought it the other day.  It was a Stig egg at M&S!  He would totally love it, or at least laugh at it.   ;D

Has anyone seen any fun / interesting eggs so far this year?  If so, where?

I honestly don't know what I'm going to do without Woolworths. :(

They'll start appearing soon.  But you're right, you need to get the popular ones early-or else you'll get stuck with only Barbie ones.

I think Easter's kind of late this year (12 April). Maybe wait until after this weekend - then the shops will clear away all the Valentine's Day stuff and load up the shelves with Easter eggs. Don't despair!  :)

My husband always gets a jokey one.  Last year was '24', the year before was a Dalek.  They only eat everybody elses anyway. :)

They have them out at Tesco.  They took down the Christmas stuff and the next day the Easter stuff was out.   ::)

I saw the Stig one in Wilkinsons.  I think it came with a egg cup or coffee mug.  :)

Wilkinson have them in.  My local Waitrose have some filtering in too.  Waitrose tends to be cutesy traditional ones like rabbits and chicks etc..

Tesco had easter eggs in at the beginning of January  :o - I believe they bought up all of Woolworths supply so they can do a price war with everyone else.

Wilkinson had alsorts in there.  I think they had quite a few styles of Hello Kitty

Morrisons carry a really good selection of character Easter Eggs, last year we got Thomas Egg Cup ones and Hello Kitty ones (says the Jew) I do buy them for my friends kids, and my son likes the mugs etc.
