tuning an fm transmitter to play ipod

Hiya... i'd be most grateful if anyone can give me a quick how-to on this!

I have a Griffin iTrip FM transmitter which enables me to play my iPod Nano through my car stereo.
I had it tuned perfectly in my last car, but have changed cars since then and can't remember how to tune it in to an 'empty' station.  (Yep... i've lost the instructions as well!)
It was super-easy when i did it the first time, but i just can't recall what I did!   [smiley=dunce.gif]
