Non-stick spray
« on: January 10, 2009, 01:01:15 PM »
I was wondering what people use here for non-stick spray like Pam.  Thanks!

A spray bottle filled with regular old oil. Control the amount you use with no added chemicals and without paying extra for something completely unnecessary!   :D

There's also something called Fry Light that can be found with the oils and things - they make a olive oil version and a sunflower oil version.  It's a pump nozzle rather than aerosol like Pam.

I've been using this lately.  It's on par with Pam.  Though, I was considering doing what the others suggested with a spray bottle instead.  Probably healthier.  And I could use one with olive oil in for salads!   ;D

Lakeland do a refillable spray bottle as well: Refillable Pump 'n' Spray, although I've never used it.  I like the way yours looks Chary, very posh!  Would look so out of place with my hodgepodge kitchen!   ;D

HA!  We used those to sanitize the tables at a posh restaurant I worked for in the states.  I never thought of the other uses... but I guess I would always look at it and think "sanitizer" which isn't very appetizing!   :-\\\\

Me too!  I got mine by accident and I didn't initially want it. Now I wouldn't want to give it up.

Thanks for that Chary!  Think I may have to get around to placing an order with Lakeland...   ;)
