Handwritten microchip numbre a prob?
« on: January 22, 2009, 05:52:47 PM »
Hi all,
Sorry to be all over the place on these boards, but I'm getting ready to leave with my dog Greta nex week for Heathrow and am pretty freaked out that something will go wrong, that I'll miss some detail (which I've been known in the past to do ::) Went to the vet today to get her to fill out the 3rd country official certificate and gather all my paperwork. Here's the thing: I have invoices from each step of the process, showing dates for the microchip insertion, the vaccination, and the blood draw, but they were unable to enter her microchip number into the computer system in a way that would make it show up on the typed invoices. So I had to write the microchip number in myself on each one and have them initial. Has anybody else done this? Was it a problem?
Heading to the USDA vet for final approval this afternoon...maybe he will catch any potential errors or problem areas...

Not a problem. Just get the vet to endorse it and stamp it, preferrably in some way that its obvious he did it after the number was written. I think I had to do the same thing.
