We're doing a rescheduled session for discussing The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, since we all bailed on the 10th.  Meeting in Harrogate at Milan's coffee house/place at 1 pm.  Let swelch2 know if you want her to meet you at the station.

Saturday, February 7
Discussing Confessions of a Shop-A-Holic - meeting in the Middlesbrough area.  Time and venue info still to be determined.  PM swelch2 or Meg for more info.

Saturday, March 7
Discussing Far From the Madding Crowd - meeting in Leeds.  Time and venue info still to be determined.  PM swelch2 or MrsRobinson for more info.

Saturday, April 4
Discussing Taste: The Story of Britain Through Its Cooking.  Time and venue info still to be determined.  This one will probably be held either in York or Harrogate.

So far - I know for sure (confirmed today):

MrsRobinson
HME

What about - cinbin?  persephone?  June Cleaver?  (they have said previously that they might come...so, are ya?)  :)

Change of plans for this Saturday's meeting!

Saturday, February 7

Eeep!  Sorry for going a bit awol there Mrs R. I have not had the chance to read the new book for Feb, so I'll probably have to give it a miss.  We'll see about March, as that's on my grandma's birthday and I'll just probably have to see how I feel.

I'm sorry, but I am going to have to give this a miss until June, at least, as between work, studies and steady visits from people down south, I am going to be too swamped! Booh!

As an aside, I saw The Houding of David Oluwale:
http://www.wyplayhouse.com/events/event_details.asp?event_ID=639
which is a play, based on local Leeds history and a book of the same name (written by a Canadian Brit!), AND the written play is the programme. It was a sad and deeply touching and some of the lines struck a chord with me, being an immigrant.

Hope y'all had a great time!  Sorry I wasn't able to make it due to feeling under the weather.  :(
