Does everyone have one of those drawers?  My dad came round to my flat before christmas to wrap some presents, and instinctively knew where we kept th sellotape/scissors/string... in that very drawer!!!

But the pizza cutter shouldn't be there.  That should be, as camascato said, with the wooden spoons, spatulas, slotted spoons, tin openers and zesters.

Yes, I have a Junk Drawer, where everything goes that doesn't seem right anywhere else. I think maybe the whole world does because I've even had acquaintances offer to help me wash up after a get-together and several times they've asked, "where's your Junk Drawer"? Not "if" I have one, but "where" is it.  :P

BF and I are the exact opposite. I've put away the butter in the silverware drawer, a knife in the freezer, salt in the fridge, etc.  :-[ It drives him crazy.

It's not just husbands and boyfriends but sons as well. :P My oldest son was home from university during part of January and for a few days after he left, I was hunting down stuff in the kitchen and finding it in odd places.

But at least he's a bit better than his father (my ex-husband). I got so angry once when he put something in a stupid place for the zillionth time that I started shreiking at him saying "Didn't you ever watch Sesame Street when you were growing up?? Which of these things is not like the other...which of these things doesn't belong?? Remember that game??? When you look at a stack of plates, what makes you think that's where a tupperware bowl and a glass measuring cup should go???" I think he thought I had lost my mind at that moment. In fact I think I had...he'd driven me to it. :P

In case anyone hasn't seen the Sesame Street game here are some clips:

In the drawer with other utensils, down the side of the cutlery tray, probably lodged under the egg whisk and 4 spatulas and that thing for crushing garlic that I never use cause it's a bugger to wash.

Use a knife!

Of more concern was when my other half had gone out on a Friday evening, I was ready to settle down in front of TV with a beer....and I couldn't find the bottle opener! Now that IS time to panic!
