I can honestly say I have never had a decent relationship with a man I met in a nightclub. Normally because I have been so drunk and can't remember any of the conversation..and the cheesy chat up lines from a pissed man is pathetically hilarious..plus that next date being uncomfortable because what you thought was Fabio in the Nightclub turned out to be chewbacca!!

I prefer the internet anyday versus the ten to 2 ( aka the erection section of the evening ) in a nightclub!

... [stand by for flames!] That is more or less why I am sceptical about internet dating & people claiming to be "in love" with somebody they have never met.

You know, I was very skeptical about it before as well, but I have found that you can fall deeply in love with someone through the written word, and it's very powerful. We both have never been in a LDR before, and in fact met right here on UKY (not a dating site). I think we both felt it was a bit strange at first, but we didn't pressure eachother for the relationship and it just happened in a natural way. I think we've gotten to know eachother so well because it's mandatory to be patient in this situation and communicate our feelings very openly.

We are a nation that has a government -- not the other way around. And this makes us special among the nations of the earth. Our government has no power except that granted to it by the people. It is time to check and reverse the growth of government, which shows signs of having grown beyond the consent of the governed.
Ronald Reagan

As long as people remember that upon first meetings that there has be some form of personal safety awareness, then everything is fine.  Saying that tho, wether you met at work, net, nightclub through friends, I would still advise people to be weary of the first meeting.

Well its true.  Always have a back up plan and tell people where you are.  I think thats common sense..not boring advice.

Apologies, I know it can seem rude to pick at peoples spelling, but it actually made it quite amusing. I think chary means that it wouldn't make a very good impression being weary on your first date - perhaps being wary would be better  ;D.
